Experience the Golden Road from the bicycle seat! The Borgenfjord is a 32 km round trip. The route winds between typical local farms and beautiful scenery in the cultural landscape. You cycle from food dish to food dish and experience unique history along the way. Great as both day trip and trip with overnight stay.
Program
Meeting in Straumen, at Jegtvolden Fjordhotell or Øyna Landskapshotell
We cycle to Straumen to pick up a packed lunch at Marens Bakeri, then we park the bikes and take a short walk to Nils Aas Art Workshop. We learn about the artist Nils Aas and his art before cycling to Gangstad Gårdsysteri to taste "the world's best Nidelven Blue cheese".
From food to a local specialty in drinks.
We continue on to Berg Gård to taste and experience Akevitt from Inderøy. Berg Gård also has a great farm shop if you want delicious local food.
We stop and eat our packed lunch from Marens Bakery on the way.
We cycle on to Inderøy Gårdsbryggeri to taste real beer from Inderøy Gårdsbryggeri. We cycle a little further in the direction of Straumen and stop at Inderøy Mosteri to quench your thirst with local apple juice from Inderøy Mosteri with the world's northernmost apple orchard.
Then we end the day with a delicious 3-course dinner at Øyna Kulturlandskapshotell.
