THE MIGHTY ARCHIPELAGO ON THE COAST OF TRØNDELAG
At the coast of Trøndelag in the intersection between untouched and the modern, you find Hitra and Frøya, Trondheim’s archipelago, in the estuary of the deep Trondheim fjord. On the stunning archipelago of more than 5.400 islands and reefs, you will find fishing villages and genuine coastal heritage as well as many lighthouses among them the tallest in Norway at Titran towering over the village casting a magic spell. The islands are home to FRØYA & HITRA the two biggest salmon factories in Norway - Salmar and Lerøy.

Get behind the scenes in the salmon industry or learn about the entangled fate of soldiers and locals during WWII. Feed the tame deer at Hitra or experience wild sea eagles souring. The charm and authenticity will create everlasting memories.

Time Travel and sightseeing: Historical Hitra Coastal Experience

The Coastal Museum of South-Trøndelag - Aquaculture in real life
The tour takes about 1.5 hours and is suitable for all ages. The visitors have to be able to enter an open boat and climb a small ladder at the fish farm. The boat departs from Hitra hurtigbåtterminal, which is within a short distance of the fish farm. 

Visit Hitra Gårdsmat and DalPro, where you'll get up close with the deer population. Feel the joy of hand-feeding the deer, a rare experience for both children and adults. Before you leave, explore DalPro's farm shop, offering a variety of locally sourced products.

DAY 3 FRØYA
Today you drive to Frøya and will spend the next night in Frøya Hotell.
The tour takes you on a captivating expedition of Hitra and Frøya, historically rich islands with plenty of exciting sights to discover.
By appointment you go to Dyrøya and meet a local host- You are going on day-tour for approximately 4 hours.  In this trip you get some assistance and guidance. There are some hidden gems at hand! Lunch on an island in the archipelago.  
In the evening you enjoy dinner in the restaurant of the hotel named “Havheim” .
