Guided snow-shoeing excursion

Join us on a guided snowshoe tour in the beautiful hiking terrain around Mokk Farm in the edge zone of Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park. Snowshoes are easy to walk on, and give you experiences out of the ordinary.

Traditional mountain farm under Skjækerfjella Mountains

Mokk Gård is a traditional mountain farm in Steinkjer, located in scenic surroundings close to the bare mountains, on the border of Blåfjella - Skjækerfjella National Park. A perfect base for great nature experiences.

Snowshoeing is suitable for you whether you have any experience with skiing and snow. You can take the trip during the day, at dusk or in the evening with a headlamp. During the excursion, you will be served a hot drink and a snack. After booking, you will receive a proposal with an arrival time to confirm the booking before it is charged to your card.

Rent snowshoes and go alone?
If you want to go snowshoeing without a guide, you can rent snowshoes at Mokk farm and go on your own.

​Mokk Gård also offers accommodation for small and large groups in the main house, which has 40 beds in 2, 3 and 4-person rooms. The rooms are of a basic standard, with showers and toilets in the hallway. The distinctive, over 100-year-old house has a large and cozy living room with a fireplace, a dining room and a spacious kitchen.
